Where each piece of a 3-piece bath mat set goes (shower exit, sink and toilet), with exact sizes, plus other rooms where the mats work well.
Put the large bath mat where you step out of the shower or tub, the smaller floor mat in front of the sink, and the U-shaped mat around the toilet base. Keep all three on the floor outside the shower, flat and clear of the door, and on a clean, dry floor.
A 3-piece set gives a bathroom one matching look and covers the three spots where floors get wet or cold. Here’s how to place each piece of a Mattona™ set.

| Piece | Size | Where it goes |
|---|---|---|
| Bath mat | 81 × 50 cm (31.9 × 19.7 in) | Shower or tub exit |
| Floor mat | 60 × 43 cm (23.6 × 16.9 in) | In front of the sink |
| U-shaped toilet mat | 60 × 50 cm (23.6 × 19.7 in), opening about 26 × 14 cm (10.2 × 5.5 in) | Around the toilet base |
Place the large mat on the floor where your feet land when you step out. That’s where the most water drips, so the most absorbent spot matters most here. Keep the mat flat, with the floor and the backing clean and dry. Absorbent floor mats aren’t designed for use inside a bath or shower tray.
Center the smaller mat on the basin, where you stand to wash your hands and brush your teeth. Check that it doesn’t catch the door or stick out into a walkway.
The U-shaped piece is a floor mat that wraps around the front of the toilet base. It isn’t a seat or lid cover. Before ordering, check that your toilet base fits the opening. Our toilet mat guide shows how to measure.
The same quick-dry mats work anywhere floors get damp or cold: in front of the washing machine, at the kitchen sink or by the back door. Use them on a flat, dry floor, and keep them out of walkways where edges could catch a foot.
The Original set has a subtle HOME print; the No Text set is plain. Both have the same three pieces, sizes and materials, in Gray, Black, Light Blue and Brown. Need just one piece? The U-shaped toilet mat and the rectangular bath mat are also sold on their own.
Check that each mat lies flat and doesn’t move before you step on it. Wash the set about once a week and let it dry fully. Stop using any mat whose backing is damaged or no longer grips.
No. Absorbent floor mats belong on the floor outside the shower or tub. Inside, use a mat made for wet use, such as a suction-cup PVC mat or non-slip strips.
Yes. Both sets have the same three pieces, sizes and materials. Only the print is different.
